He can also be seen today on the French tv program Lundi ou Mardi (France3), talking about his new music. 09.14.08 - Check out samples from Master Groove Circle, including Eric Mouquet's remix of Hikari Nadeshiko, available September 24th. CNN just did an interview with Sa Dingding, making a very brief mention of Deep Forest, referring to her collaboration with Eric on Deep China. Michel Sanchez has joined Selfprod, a group of independent artists. Visit his profile to listen to extended samples of The Touch and The Day of a Paperbird. 08.25.08 - The Africa Brasil remix pack was a big success, and Eric would like to thank everyone who uploaded their mixes with a new remix pack for the song Amazonia. The new remix pack is available when you login to the remix section at Deep Projects. There is a new Deep Forest remix of the song Repeat on the album Mellscope from Japanese singer Mell. The limited edition includes a DVD with video of Mell at Eric Mouquet's studio. Mell's record label Geneon Entertainment will also be releasing a remix album with various anime songs mixed by Sorma, Juno Reactor and more. Deep Forest's remix of Hikari Nadeshiko will also be included. Release date is September 24th. 08.01.08 - Eric Mouquet has started a video blog, which he is hoping to update once or twice a month. In the first video Eric talks about plans for Deep Projects, as well as an upcoming collaboration with Josh Groban this September. The second video is of Eric on piano playing some music from his Deep Sky show. 07.25.08 - Eric's Deep Brasil is now available on iTunes, Amazon (entire album for $7.99), Fnac, Napster, and other fine digital online music retailers. 07.13.08 - Won't be Long, the China earthquake relief song from Eric and Sa Dingding is now available to buy through the Deep Projects site. Proceeds go to the disaster relief fund. 07.09.08 - The Africa Brasil remixes have begun to come in. Fans are encouraged to download the remix pack and to upload their creations. Africa Brasil is one of the new songs off of the album Deep Brasil, available to download through Eric's site. At this time the album is only available in CD format through the French retailer Nature & Decouvertes, on the Vox Terrae label. Lastly, the Chinese earthquake relief song Won't Be Long is in 9th place on the music charts in China! 06.25.08 - Eric Mouquet & Flávio Dell’Isola's Deep Brasil album can now be purchased at deep-projects. The site is also offering a remix pack, giving fans and DJs a chance to create this own remix of Africa Brasil. Additionally, the Big Blue Ball compilation is now on sale. It features a long list of musicians who took part in the 'recording weeks' which occured at Real World Studios in the early to mid 90's. Included on the album is the song altus silva by Deep Forest in collaboration with a slew of other musicians. 06.22.08 - Michel Sanchez has opened his new interactive site, and along with it a new music store where his two new albums, The Touch and The Day of a Paper Bird, are now available. Michel hopes to update the store with a new song each month, from a variety of musical styles. 06.02.08 - Eric's official Deep Projects site is now open. Deep Projects is a new series which will follow a similar theme to Deep Forest, with Deep Brasil being the first release later this month. Future music will focus on Africa and China. 05.28.08 - Michel has added six full-length songs to his myspace page from his two upcoming albums. 05.26.08 - The Big Blue Ball site is up, and there is a sample of Deep Forest's Altus Silva, as well as information about the making of the music. The songs will be availble for purchase June 24th. 05.22.08 - With the music for Aral 2 - Behind the Wall already recorded last summer, we were just waiting on the theatrical DVD production from Franco Dragon to be completed before we could hear the new album from Catherine Lara and Eric Mouquet. Well a private concert was held in March to tape the choreographed scenes for the DVD, and we can now expect to hear the CD sometime this autumn. Ok well the song isn't exactly new, all the tracks on the album were recorded between 1991-93. Altus Silva was composed during one of the "recording weeks" held at Real World Studios, in which world music artists were invited to collaborate and mix music. The song was co-composed with Joseph Arthur, Ronan Browne, James McNally & Iarla Ó Lionáird (of the Afro Celt Sound System), and include Noel Ekwabi (bass), Vernon Reid (guitar synth) Papa Wemba Band (Conga), Chuck Norman (programming) and Tchad Blake (Keyboards, harmonium and flute like body bells). The US release date for Big Blue Ball is June 24th. 04.15.08 - BIG NEWS from Michel! He will be releasing two new albums shortly, called The Day or a Paperbird and The Touch. And in his continued dedication to charity, Michel will be giving a portion of the royalties from both albums to Action Contre la Faim (Action Against Hunger). And now for the first time, you can listen to samples from the new albums at Michel's myspace page. 04.01.08 - Michel Sanchez will be opening his new site this month, with new music, photos and video from his latest solo album. Josh Groban will be releasing a live CD/DVD of Awake May 6th. The release includes Awake, Machine, and Remember When it Rained by Eric Mouquet. A live version of Awake will also be released as a single. 01.12.08 - Josh Groban is preparing to head back into the studio to start recording his next album. Josh and Eric Mouquet will be collaborating once again, and will meet in February. This will mark their third collaboration, including Closer (Remember When it Rained & Never Let Go) and Awake (Machine & Awake). Additionally, there will also be an Awake Tour DVD released in April. 11.11.07 - The Lion King theatrical show is now open in France, and the first single Il Vit En Toi, produced by Eric Mouquet is also available. With the music done, all that is left is the production of the DVD video by Franco Dragone. The release is tentatively scheduled for this February. 07.04.06 - Interview, Discography & Downloads - We've added another old interview with Deep Forest concerning Comparsa. Also check out an interview about the production of Pacifique (thanks to Florian Seka for translating both), and all our other interviews on the press center page.

There is now a new simplified discography page with all of Deep Forest's releases. Finally thanks to Fábio Augusto for sending us his remix of Forest Power, now available on our downloads page.

06.05.05 - Live Performances - Just added a dozen and a half photos of a performance Deep Forest made in 95' with Youssou N'Dour. The photos come from the Japanese DVD of Youssou's concert, and is the first live performance by Deep Forest we know of. We would like to sincerely thank Daisuke for helping us obtain these photos.

In addition to the new Deep Forest concert photos we also have six new photos of Wes performing Keli Maye in a television appearance. It's not clear when this performance occurred, but is most likely sometime soon after the 2000 release of Sinami. We thank Alejo for once again providing us, and you, with more photos. You can check all these photos out in the Concerts section.

05.10.05 - Audio Samples & Interview - We have completed the monumental task of resampling every Deep Forest and Deep Forest related song on this site. Because we were unhappy with the short poor quality music clips, each sample is now 60seconds long at 56kbps VBR and in stereo.

I also wanted to make note of a interview from 1999 that we added not too long ago. In the interview Deep Forest discuss Made In Japan.

For those of your who are registered members on the forum, you may have also noticed that email notification is now working again.

01.25.05 - Screenshots, Photos & Interview - We would like to thank Blackmago for providing us with screenshot for several of the Deep Forest videos we were missing. There are now shots from all the videos available in the media section. Also new from Blackmago are a set of photos of Deep Forest live in Kyoto (98' Tour). Lastly, we added a newly translated interview with photos, from 2001, in which Deep Forest talked to Taro Hakase on J-Wave.

03.25.04 - Index & Discography - We just spent a couple hours deleting and optimizing the html code for this index page. It's easy to end up with messy code when using a web-design editor like Dreamweaver, and this page was way out of hand in terms of extraneous tags. Hopefully this will help our Google ranking for the keywords 'deep forest' (we are currently #174 ouch!)

There have also been a number of Discography updates (get a quick over-view of anything new from the Discotimeline), including entries for the regular and Taiwanese editions of Essence of the Forest, Mouquet's newest pop album Je Me Souviendrai featuring Jean Sebastien Lavoie, and a live concert DVD of Youssou N'Dour featuring two songs performed with Deep Forest (thanks to Bohemian for informing us of the DVD).

03.25.04 - 3rd Birthday - It's Deep in the Jungle's 3-year-old birthday, currently having served 60,800 visitors, 22,400 visitors this year alone. In the last year we have moved the site to www.deepforestmusic.com, made numerous updates, and added Earth-Rhythms (massive catalog of enigmatic music). Thank you to all our visitors and supporters, we hope to continue growing, and to see more new faces : )
